Example Day of IIFYM

What does a day following the If It Fits Your Macro approach look like?? Well the best part about it is that there is no right answer! This approach is very flexible everyone’s days should be very different!  I wanted to just share one day of food with you. As you can see it’s a lot of food!! You shouldn’t have to starve while trying to reach your ideal weight! 

Here is everything I ate today– I usually avoid carbs later in the evening because I work out in the AM, but I had a lot of carbs (and no fats) to make up at the end of the night == oatmeal and fruit. This is the downfall of not planning out your day, but I love the freedom of eating what I feel like without being trapped into a contract, so to speak.  

Meal One:

1/2 c. Oatmeal, 1/4 c blueberries, 1 scoop Cinnamon Swirl Protein Powder, 1 tbs maple almond butter, dash cinnamon

Meal Two:

Chocolate Brownie Quest Bar

Meal Three:

6 oz. ranch turkey meatballs. 9 asparagus spears

Amino Energy..mmm

Meal Four:

Two Tacos from Yesterdays Meal Prep! 4oz turkey, 2 tbs. guacamole, 1/8 c black beans, fresh cilantro, jalapenos, onion, and corn tortillas

1 c fat free cottage cheese, 1/4 c blueberries, cinnamon

Meal Five

Tuna salad (white albacore tuna, greek yogurt, and dill) with 2 slices bread 1/2c greek yogurt with stevia and 1 tbs peanut butter mixed in topped with 2 sliced strawberries.

Meal Six:

1/2 c. oatmeal, 1/2 c. blueberries, & stevia

Forgot to add greek yogurt under meal five–                           ACTUAL TOTALS: Calories: 2,014 Carbs: 191 Fat: 56 Protein: 202


correct macros, pretty damn close!
